1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Qvault ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Software. These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you ("User") and Santacroce SL, CIF B13886775, registered in Madrid, Spain ("Company", "we", "us").

2. Description of Service

Qvault is a free, open-source application for automatic detection and redaction of personally identifiable information (PII) in legal documents. The Software is released under the MIT License and is available for macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android. All document processing occurs locally on the User's device. No document content is transmitted to our servers. No license key, account, or registration is required.

3. User Obligations

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Software complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including data protection laws.
You are responsible for verifying redaction results before sharing documents.

4. Intellectual Property

The Software is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, subject to the conditions of the MIT License.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. While we strive for high accuracy in PII detection, we do not guarantee that all sensitive information will be detected or that the Software will be error-free. Users should always verify redaction results before sharing documents.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SANTACROCE SL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES ARISING FROM THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE.

7. Enterprise Services

Santacroce SL offers enterprise integration services including MCP pipeline integration and private LLM deployments for enhanced PII detection. Enterprise services are governed by separate agreements. Contact info@santacroce.es for enterprise inquiries.

8. Updates and Modifications

We may update the Software and these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain and the European Union. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Madrid, Spain.
